Opened in 1997 as Kinta City Shopping Centre — the first AEON in Ipoh. Acquired by KIP REIT in 2019 for RM208 million.
A four-storey retail landmark in northern Ipoh and the city’s first AEON, Kinta City has anchored daily life in Perak’s capital since 1997. The mall is fully occupied under a master lease to AEON Co. (M) Bhd.
Acquired by KIP REIT in 2019, the mall is now undergoing an RM160 million expansion — adding roughly 30% more space to reach about 580,000 sq ft of net lettable area by late 2027, secured by a 25-year lease with AEON.
